1Delete it in the app
- Open StepCivics and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
- Sign in once more with Apple or Google to confirm it’s you.
StepCivics deletes your backup first, then your account, right away. It also removes StepCivics’ access to your Apple or Google sign-in.
2Ask us by email
If you can’t use the app, email us from the address of your StepCivics account: the one Apple or Google shared when you signed in.
- support@stepcivics.app
- Subject
- Delete my account
- Timeline
- Within 30 days
We’ll confirm it’s your account, delete it and reply when it’s done.
3What is deleted
- Your account: your sign-in with Apple or Google, the email address and name that came with it, and your user ID.
- Your backup in Google Cloud Firestore: your progress per question, your mock test history, and your language, theme and state.
4What stays on your phone
Progress on your phone isn’t part of your account. It stays after you delete the account, so you can keep studying, and it’s removed when you uninstall StepCivics. Your ZIP code and interview date were never backed up.
Premium belongs to your Apple Account or Google account, not your StepCivics account. Restore purchases brings it back.
5What expires on its own
| What | Why it stays | Deleted |

| Usage analytics | They’re never linked to your account, so they can’t be found with it | Within 14 months |
| Inactive-account email note | If we emailed you before deleting an unused account, when we did | Within 45 days |
